Superstar Joshua Bell is the soloist in Mozart’s most popular violin concerto, nicknamed Turkish for its evocation of Janissary drums, featuring Bell’s own cadenza. Music Director Jaap van Zweden conducts this concert, which includes Gabrieli’s glorious music for brass and one of Tchaikovsky’s lushest works for strings.
