The Philharmonic returned after a year like none other. Music Director Jaap van Zweden conducted Anna Clyne’s fragile elegy, Copland’s Hopperesque cityscape, Walker’s moving blend of modernism and romanticism, and Beethoven’s glorious Fourth Piano Concerto with Daniil Trifonov as soloist. Mahogany L. Browne also recited her own poem.
